Apres-ski Chamonix

Apres-ski or the after skiing entertainment, takes place in the Chamonix downtown bars and clubs. You could try Chamouny, La Bresserie du Rond point or the Irish Coffee bar. Spring sees the number of outdoors tables and terraces expanding on the pedestrian area. La Cabolee attracts skiers coming from Le Brevent ski slopes. Other bars are the Bumble Bee and Mill Street. Night life at Chamonix has many other popular places for tourists, skiers and boarders, like Arbat where live music nights happen, the Blue is another place where jazz live music, country and western music events take place. Le Pele Disco is a big noisy dance club, generally full of teenagers. La Choucas Video Bar gathers an English speaking crowd.

There are Apres-ski places in Argentiere – the Office Bar (telephone: 450 54 15 46) is full of English speaking tourists and skiers. The Office Bar has plenty of special offers everyday, like: House Cocktail 2-for-the-price-of-1 on Monadays and Half Price Chicken Wings on Tuesdays. The place also hosts live music representations every Tuesdays and Thursdays, Between 17:00 and 19:00 and on Fridays between 21:30 and 23:30. Saturday night DJs and special guests are invited to perform. At the Office bar you can dine between 18:00 and 22:00. If you fancy French speaking crowd, you should head towards Savoy Bar (telephone: 450 54 21 00) or to Rusticana, known also as The Rusty (telephone: 450 55 88 28). The Rusty is the perfect place to party late into the night. The bar opens during weekends between 16:00 and 2:00 and Monday to Friday opens from 9:00 to 2:00. At Rusticana you’ll enjoy a huge rolling screen and Internet connection.

The Bar and the restaurant Jeckyll (telephone: 450 53 83 80) has a wide screen plasma TV and a new menu. Jackyll is set between Hotel des Aiglons and Restaurant l'Impossible.

Le Privilege is the place to relax and chill out after a skiing day. It’s a very elegant place situated on the Rue de Moulins (telephone: 450 53 29 10). The furnishing and interior decorations of Le Privilege are an interesting combination between the local and African styles. Here you’ll enjoy a much relaxing and intimate atmosphere, the restaurant usually hosting a mature clientele. Sometimes there are live music shows and DJ nights.

The underground and Dj music are at home at Le Cantina Club (telephone: 450 53 83 80). Le Cantina restaurant is located above the club and it serves a mexican kitchen. At BPM night club (telephone: 676 38 25 69) you’ll have the chance to attend and have maximum fun with lots of drinks – BPM organizes Coyote Girls and Chippendales nights too.

At the Wild Wallabies Bar you’ll find a British and Scandinavian crowd who drink, sing and dance. Maximum fun place!

The only night-club in Argentiere is the Buschwacker (telephone: 450 90 68 20) and opens until late in the night. It closes after 4 o’clock in the morning. DJ nights happen here. The club also has a wide tv screen and a pool table.
