The Museum is situated in Les Houches, on Chamonix Valley. The museum is hosted by an old house dating 1750 and exhibits themes related to mountain life style, the reconstruction of the rooms using traditional dwelling techniques and object from everyday life of the Les Houches villagers.
The museum open in Summer from 5 July to 13th of September, everyday excerpt Tuesday. the museum is open from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. In winter, the museum opens between 20th of December and 30th of April, only Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:00 to 6:00 PM
